Entourage converts attachments to images

When I drag and drop a PDF into the body of an email message, Entourage
converts the file into PNG format instead of sending it as an attachment.
How do I prevent this and retain the original PDF (or other file) format?

Hi Vinay!

Drag the PDF into the Attachments pane (you may need to twiddle open the
disclosure triangle) rather than the body of your new message.
