Entourage Core Crash

[VROD2003]

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I am unable to open Entourage. The rest of the Office for Mac suite works. The problem started when I resolved duplicate fonts. Since then I have reinstalled all fonts, restored Office for Mac, updated to 12.2.4, verified my database is working, and removed all the preference files and restarted. I still don't have a working Entourage.

Most members on this forum cannot read logs. We are not developers. Posting
just the first part (shown below) does give us some clues.

It appear your restore did not fully restore. I would re-install Office.

Thank you Diane. Unfortunately I attempted to do that after following all of the removal instructions and it failed.

All of the other programs work except for Entourage.

My Office 2008 was an upgrade version. I no longer have Office 2004 on my computer. I'm not even sure I have the disk any longer. The install program won't allow the new installation because it says it can't find the original program.

I have already spent over 12 hours trying to resolve this problem and it still has me stumped. I even tried copying the program from a working version running on an old Mac Pro. It did not work either, same error.

This tells me the problem is somewhere in a hidden file because I copied all of the files I could see that have anything to do with Microsoft.

At this point I may just have to limp along until the 2010 version comes out. Either that or I have to explore another 3rd party program for email that handles Exchange.

Did you test in a new User to see if Entourage would launch?

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test Entourage
there.

If you have any backups, drag the Microsoft Office 2004 folder and point to
it. If you can find your CD see these instructions:

If your Exchange server is 2007 or higher, you can use Apple Mail
