Entourage could not read the data in this .rge file

Hi,

We are constantly receiving the following message 'Entourage could not read
the data in this .rge file'. This is a terrible problem that has been
bothering us for months. Please help. How do we fix this?

We're on Entourage 11.3.3 on Mac OS X 10.4.9.

It sounds like a corrupt Entourage archive file. The file is a package and
if you Control click on the .rge file and select to "show package contents"
you will find actual files inside.

How do we find/identify the corrupt file and is there a way to prevent this
from happening in the future?

There is no way to find the corrupt file(s) other than manually dragging
them over in batches.

Where would we be dragging the batches? How do we fix the problem of
receiving continuous .rge error messages? Is there something that we can do
to prevent future .rge messages?

Drag the messages to your folder column in Entourage. The problem occurs
when there is corruption. Other than frequent checking I don¹t know of a way
to prevent corruption.
