Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

Several months ago Entourage started to crash every once in awhile. I would send the requested message in to you each time.

Then the crashes were happening often and now they are happening 4 or five time a day! Each time I send in the message. Can you look at these messages and see what the problem might be? Sure hope so, it's becoming a real pain!

Thanks

This is not an official Microsoft support forum. The MERP reports go into a
central database for developers to help track problems. You are taking to
your peers here.

Identify the version of Entourage that you are using including the updates.
Often updating fixes many problems. How to find what version you are using:
Version & License Information
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/version/index.html#find_version>

You indicate 10.4 Tiger, but what exact version of Tiger? Look under the
Apple in the Menu bar and select "About this Mac."

What type of account? (POP, IMAP, Exchange)

Give as much detail about your problem and what you have done so far to
troubleshoot. Just saying that I have tried all the suggestions on the list
doesn't mean very much. Saying "it just doesn't work" isn't helpful either.
Give details!

Exactly what is happening when the crash occurs?

How full is your hard drive? Look in the Activity Monitor (found in
Applications/Utilities). While you are there watch the CPU status. You might
need more memory.

If you run through these elimination steps, this would greatly help us
advise you.
============================================
Steps to help determine where the problem is located.

1) you can eliminate your Identity by creating a new Identity in Entourage
and see if you experience the same problem.

2) if a new Identity still exhibits the same issues, then create a new User
in System Preferences and test Entourage there. If the problem is in your
User's account, then log out/in with Shift key down to disable any startup
items. Test. If the problem still exists, it's most likely a preference file
that's corrupt. See these pages for help:

3) If the problems still exist in the new User, it's a problem with your
base OS files. If running the Apple combo does not fix, then you might need
to do an "Archive & Install".
