Entourage Crashes when I try to delete an email

Email Client: pop

I have an email that causes Entourage to crash every-time I try to delete it. It's sitting in my inbox. When I highlight it, the toolbar above goes gray and the balloon appears. I have to force quite to close it out. The email is from a secure source and I have 100's of emails from that person.
Any help will be appreciated

Do you have web access to your e-mail account? If so, try to delete the
offending message from there.

FWIW, the official requirements for Office 2008 include OS X 10.4.9. You
look long overdue for an upgrade of OS X.
