Entourage crashes when sending attachments

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I have recently upgraded several computers from Office 2004 to Office 2008 & moved from POP to exchange services.

I am experiencing an issue when entourage is crashing when attempting to send emails with attachments (most often PDF attachments). The entire application shuts down. It typically takes 2 or 3 attempts before the email sends without shutting down.

This happens on a couple computers, but one 1 it is happening for just about every email send that has attachments.

suggestions?

Use Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... to create a new identity and
set up the Exchange account again. Does the problem continue?
