Entourage crashes

I am confronted with a new problem with my PowerBook G4 running with Tiger
v. 10.3.4 and Office Mac v.X. When I am composing mail in Entourage and
click on the Font menu to change the Font the application ³unexpectedly²
quits, (which is a misnomer because it quits with absolute certainty).
I have repaired permissions which did not solve the problem. Where should I
look for the cause of this nuisance?
Every hint is welcome and appreciated.
Rudolf

This is an addendum to my previous message. In the meantime I have repaired
permissions and restarted Powerbook. After this process clicking the font
pull down menu does no longer crash and shows the installed fonts. A hint
would be appreciated though, if somebody wouldn¹t mind telling me, why
permissions have to be repaired so frequently?
Thank you for your attention.

Actually, restarting alone may have been the solution. Font problems are
almost always caused by the font cache, and restarting sometimes
rebuilds it. I was going to recomment that you run Font Finagler and
restart, and I bet that would have solved the problem, but of course
we'll never know now. m.
