Entourage create a CAPITAL letter at each line

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

When creating a new mail,
I cannot chose the length
of each line of text, as I
do in Word.
So if I dont' press enter,
the line is much too long,
and the mail not very legible.
If I press enter, it creates
a CAPITAL letter at each new
line, which is stupid.
Why Entourage doesn't let ME
decide when and where I want
a CAPITAL ?
I've been searching EVERYWHERE
a solution in Preferences or
Menu Bar, no avail.
:-(

OK. I found it on another forum :
Tools
Autocorrect
Disabling first capital

But : another question from this one :
is there a way to choose a given length
for the lines in mail ?

Entourage uses a standard line length for wrapping of plain text
messages (circa 76) and this cannot be changed. HTML lines are not
wrapped.

Personally I find your text extremely hard to read because of how often
you start new lines. Can you please explain why it is you want such
short lines? There may be another solution to your problem, such as a
change to your resolution or screen magnification.

Adam,
The lines in the message box of Msoft forum
are irrelevant with my question regarding
the mail in Entourage. I'm not breaking those
lines myself.
Thus I don't see your point.
Regarding the lines, very long lines in a message
are not readable.
Maximum should be around 50 characters.
Last, I won't change my two screens resolution.
It's settled on max and will remain so.
Magnification is neutral.
Best

I'm not using the forum to view your message. I'm using the Entourage
newsreader and I see the very short lines. Entourage does not do this. Like
Adam I find your use of very short lines to be very hard to read.

Not according to RFC guidelines.

The netiquette guidelines in RFC 1855 suggest limiting lines to 65
characters. This is a very conservative value; some users don't go this far,
and use 70 or 75 instead.

I don't see the point : netiquette is not a publishing and editorial standard.
I'm not writing mails for computer nerds, but for publishers and producers.
Any scrip or article or book (manuscript) is 25 lines x 60 characters per sheet.
This is the standard.

But an email is not a manuscript. If you're concerned about preserving
formatting, I recommend an attachment.

There is no automatic way do what you want. I imagine it would be
possible to use an AppleScript to rewrap a selected portion of text to a
certain length. Perhaps an AppleScript author can pipe in.

Adam, you're maybe right, but I notice that Apple's Mail allow to retain the template of a given text (character, size, color, etc.).
Entourage does not.
Likewise, Thunderbird allows to create a model of mail with color background and text color.
