5 year-old iMac G4 hard drive crashed. I was able to get the MS Office 2004 Main Identity folder off the old hard drive to put on my new iMac but the "Database" file is now a "unix executable" file. Seems to have lost its original extension. What is the extension for the database file and how do I get my old database file working on my new iMac Intel Duo (Leopard). I've loaded my old copy of Office 2004 on the new iMac. Please help. Lots of e-mail and contacts in that old file.

I would try going to the Finder, selecting the database, and choosing Get
Info from the File menu. Then in the section labeled "Open with:" choose
Microsoft Entourage. (You may have to select Other... and then set "Enable:"
to "All Applications" instead of the default "Recommended Applications".)
