Entourage date wrong

C

Chin Qui

Hi,

Just wonder if anyone has the same problem. When I create an event for today
(17 April 2008) and send an invite to someone, the other party receives the
date as 1 January 1970.

And when I try to create a task, it¹s always 1 Jan 1970, and I cannot even
change the date.

How come? Can someone help?

Thanks!

Entourage date wrongHi Chin,

The issue is due to the date set in your Mac OS preference. Follow the below steps to set the date in your Mac OS

To set the date and time manually:
1.. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Date & Time.
2.. Click the Date & Time button.
3.. Deselect the "Set date & time automatically" checkbox if it is selected.
4.. Click today's date on the calendar and drag the hands on the clock to the correct time.
You can also set the date and time using the up and down arrows, or by typing over the current date or time.

5.. Click Time Zone and follow the onscreen instructions to choose the correct time zone for your geographic region.

If the issue reappear after restarting your Mac then it seems like the CMOS battery is drained.. replace the battery

thanks

This is related to your Mac OS preference, but not the time issue. It is
related to your Date Format setting, especially the medium or short
format. Entourage doesn¹t support all types of the format. So sometimes
you will see such errors. Please check it by following steps:

1. Go to International tab in your System preference
2. Select ³Formats² tab
3. check your Dates format.
4. Customer the short and medium format to as similar as the US style.
5. Restart Entourage should show the change.

Thanks
Mu
