In Entourage, if I get a calendar invite e-mail, and I accept or decline the invite, the e-mail that contained that invite gets automatically deleted. This means that if the person who sent the invite attached a file, that attached file is lost with the deleted e-mail. How can I stop entourage from deleting these e-mails?

this is true, however from within the calendar when you open the event the original message will appear, together with the attachment

In my case, I can see text from the original e-mail, but the attachment is nowhere to be found. Is there any way to turn this "feature" off?

No, if you accept an invitation with an attachment then the nature of
Entourage is to copy the event to your calendar but leave the message in
your Inbox.

I don't recall if this behavior was in place with Entourage 12.0.0 or if
it was part of an update, but be sure you have a fully updated
installation of Office.

Hope this helps!
