Entourage deletes some emails on startup

When I start entourage and it checks my email accounts for new mail it deletes some of them automatically while allowing others into my inbox. This is a new behavior and is very annoying as I have missed some important emails as a result. I have some email rules in place but entourage worked perfectly well with these in place before.

deletes some of them automatically while allowing others into my inbox.
This is a new behavior and is very annoying as I have missed some
important emails as a result. I have some email rules in place but
entourage worked perfectly well with these in place before.

Entourage will not delete mail on its own. Only the user can delete mail
by manually dragging it to the Deleted Items or creating a rule to do it
for him.

You'll need to disable your rules and verify they are not the problem.

Also, you may wish to temporarily disable Junk E-mail Protection...
found under the Tools menu in case it's flagging messages as junk
without you noticing.
