Entourage deleting emails automatically

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: imap I am having the same problem that Pandybelly was having on Feb 10, 2010. Emails arrive in my Inbox, but then I watch as they are automatically sent to the Deleted Items folder. It seems to be random, and not all emails are deleted. The deleted emails are not from a particular sender or anything. This started a couple of weeks ago.

I have Junk E-mail Protection set to "None" and I have no rules set up. This is causing me to miss important messages. Help!

Check the Mailing List Manager under Tools in the Menu bar. Most likely
you accidentally created a Mailing List Manager rule and it’s moving
your messages. Delete it!

I am also having the problem - twice now in the last month - that melgreene outlines.

I do not have any Junk rules, I do not have any Mailing List Manager Rules. I've checked everything.

What happens is that suddenly my emails in the inbox start being deleted - after I have deleted one message. Perhaps a key is stuck? But that doesn't appear to be the problem. And then the deleting stops if I leave the inbox. It starts up again if I return to the inbox without closing and restarting Entourage.

I have Office 2004 on my Mac. I'm using OS 10.5.8

Is this an IMAP account?
