Entourage does not open. Help wanted

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

I have a Macbook with a 2,16 Intel Core duo processor and MacOSX 1.4 Tiger operating system. When I try to start up Entourage I always get this message:

"This Identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage."

Then the application closes. Does anyone knows what the problem is?

Make sure that your copy of Office is up to date. Download and install the
latest Office 2004 updates, which are the Office 2004 11.3.5, 11.3.6,
11.3.7, 11.3.8, 11.3.9, 11.4.0, and 11.4.1 updates.

In Office 2004, use Microsoft AutoUpdate to get the latest updates. From
any Office application, go to Help > Check for Updates (or manually launch
Microsoft AutoUpdate from the Applications folder). If any updates are
needed, they will display in a sheet, at which point you can check them and
press the "Install" button to download and install them.

Updates can also be found at the Microsoft web site:

If that doesn't correct the problem, did you create the identity in another
version of Entourage, like 2001 or X or 2008? If you created it in
Entourage 2001 or X, you can import it into a new Entourage 2004 identity.
