Entourage doesn't display folders

Hello

Strange problem appeared recently.

Entourage doesn't keep anymore the setting that displays the folders (in the
display menu) so it's necessary to set it after each launch.

Same problem on 3 Macs in different locations (they use the same database
located on an external HD and reached via aliases).
Rebuiding the base didn't fix the problem, neither trashing the prefs files.
(Macs running 10.4.10 and Entourage 11.3.6)

Any idea ?

Sorry, I don't understand - what folder display setting are you talking
about?

Also, where are your aliases pointing - to the MUD folder, the Identity
folder or the database file itself?

(I'm from France with french version of Entourage, sorry if terms do not
match exactly.)
I mean the pane on the left side of the screen (View menu, Folder List).
The problem is that Entourage remembers this choice no more. The item is
checked when quitting but unchecked at next launch.
(I read a similar question in the old group.)

The Identity folder. It works right since years.

As the problem appears on each Mac, I suppose that there is a kind of 'flag'
remembering the choice in the database file.
But rebuilding it did not fix the problem.

Up to about a week ago, this problem did not exist. Now it happens each
time I quit Entourage 2004 and launch. The Folder List disappears and when
I go into View, Folder List is unchecked. I re-check it, but the next time
I quit and launch, the same problem recurs.

Is there one or more preference file/s that I should delete?

Respectfully, Norm

That's interesting to track the bug, meaning that the problem is not system
dependant neither in the last update but somewhere in the depth of
Entourage.

Try deleting the entourage prefs files in ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft
(where '~' is your home directory)

Already done as mentioned in my first post. No fix.

Thanks for tracking.

One more interesting point : the problem doesn't occur with alternative
identities.
Also, as the problem occurs on different Macs, I'm more and more certain
that one of the files in the identity folder is concerned, I would suspect
the database file but it should be confirmed.
