Entourage doesn't match OWA\iphone

I have multiple users reporting that OWA\iphone doesn't match whats in their Entourage client.
I can get things syncing again by clearing the cache but if I do that I lose whatever changes haven't been syncronized. Is there anyway to get things syncing again without dumping the cache and losing the unsynced changed?

Emptying the cache in Entourage is about the only way to restore
syncing, however, you shouldn't lose any messages unless you're clearing
the Sent Items cache. You will need to copy those messages that haven't
synced to the server to another folder as a backup, clear the cache and
then return the backup messages to the Sent Items folder and allow them
to sync.

If you're constantly having to empty the cache then consider what your
users are sending. Large attachments? Multiple attachments? Anything
else beyond just plain text messages? They may be sending items that are
causing the syncing to stop.
