TryAgain
Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I've been all over the internet (and this forum) trying to find an answer to how to switch off the duplicate emails. My situation is a bit different from some of the others. I only get TWO of everything and they come in at exactly the same time (with identical headers). The ONLY emails I don't receive twice are ones that are forwarded automatically (from web-based sources).
It seems very odd that this problem has been around from the beginning and no real solution has been offered (as far as I can see). What I've seen mostly falls into two categories - one involves scripts to remove the duplicates and the others seem to be in the re-build/re-install category. The first is not really a solution and the second always comes with a "it may work and it may not" warning. This is a lot of time and effort to spend on an uncertain and risky sounding action.
Isn't there some accessible setting within Entourage that can be altered (without the risk of losing valuable data)? Is there no one who has actually experienced the problem and solved it?
Please help us!
Thank you.
