Entourage email header does not display date (shows time only)

Anyone having this problem? Email messages displayed in Entourage
show only the time the email was received, not the date it was
received. So I can't easily tell what day an email arrived. This is
true no matter what sorting option is chosen for displaying messages.
This does not appear to be a settings issue, because occasionally a
message does have the date displayed (but not the date and the time) -
regardless, there doesn't appear to be any such setting. Most of the
mail messages were imported from an Outlook.pst file, but this happens
with newly received messages as well, so I don't think this is the
issue. If the full internet email header is viewed the Date/Time
stamp is present, so the information is available.

This is correct - "known issue", and very annoying. Only messages you sent,
living in officially designated "Sent Items" folders display the Sent time,
in 3 column view (Preview Pane at right). I agree completely that that if
you choose to sort by Sent the time display should be Sent, not Received.
Please send a request in Help/Send Feedback for this feature.

Naturally in 3-column view there's no room for all the columns available in
the old (X/2001) 3-pane view. If having Sent time displayed really matters,
you can switch back to the old 3-pane view via View/Preview Pane --> Below
(or press shift-command-\). All the columns are available here, as in
Entourage X.

Paul, thanks, you just made the product usable to me - I never thought
that the side effect of putting the preview pane below would be
gaining the extra columns in the message list! I'm not aware of any
other way to make these columns visible. Thanks, and damn that's lame.
