Email Client: pop
I have recently switched my internet provider to AT&T. I spent nearly two hours on the phone with tech support to ensure that my pop and smtp settings were correct. The settings that I am using are as follows:
POP serverop.att.yahoo.com
"Service requires SSL"- only box checked
Password is included in "Receiving mail
info"
POP port is 995
SMTP server: smtp.att.yahoo.com
"Service requires SSL"- box is checked
SMTP port is 465 - box is checked
"Server requires authentication -
box is checked" - "same settings as
receiving mail server" selected.
When I clicked on "Send/Receive All" - I got the following error message:
"Explanation: Security Failure - personal certificate required - error 2995."
I am now waiting for a phone call from a level two technician at AT&T.
Has anyone else had this problem? Please advise.
Thank You
