I started to get this error yesterday whenever I try to print in Entourage. It happens when I go to 'Print' and 'Print One Copy"; a dialog box comes up with "An error occurred while printing. An unknown error (-30872) occurred." I've restarted the computer and restarted Entourage several times but I can't seem to print. Any suggestions?

An error occurred and gives a number.... this is an Apple operating system
message.

Did you run Repair Permissions from Disk Utility?

I would test in a new User. This would eliminate problems in your User's
folder. Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch
to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test printing
there. If the problem goes away then you know it's your User's folder that
has the problem. If it still exists, I would download and run the latest
Apple combo updater. If that fails, you might need re-install your printer
software or do an "Archive & Install".

Strange coincidence! I ran into this problem today while troubleshooting
a problem that would unexpectedly quit QuarkXPress. It had the same
error code.

The solution was to find the printer that was corrupt in Apple menu -->
System Preferences... --> Print & Fax, delete it and create it again.

In my case the default printer was the problem and I noticed it looked
strange because its "Kind" read something like "Raw" rather than
"Generic PostScript" or something similar.

Hope this helps!

Thank you guys both! The thing that finally did the trick was deleting the printer profiles in the System Prefs and adding them back in, as Bill suggested. Thank you very much to both of you though for your feedback!!
