Entourage EWS - Cannot Open Other Users Folder

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Hi,
Upgraded to EWS and Entourage connects and syncs all OK. GAL lookups all OK.

Problem is that I now cannot open another users folder even though I could before and can in Outlook. On selecting OK in the Open Other User's Folder (Calendar) dialogue box Entourage returns an error message "Entourage Cannot Connect to Exchange server. The server is unavailable. Please try later"

Any Ideas?

Is the other user's account on Exchange Server 2003? If so, you won't be
able to access it because that version of Exchange Server does not
support EWS.

Yes that's the issue, just tried a user which I know is on 2007 and that works OK. So there is an incompatibility between EWS and Exchange 2003 that extends beyond basic connectivity for mailboxes.

Yes, there is a complete disconnect between Entourage EWS & any version
of Exchange below 2007. they talk completely different protocols and
cannot communicate at all.
