Entourage font color crash

I just updated 2 intel iMacs (10.4.6) with the latest secutiy update,
Quicktime 7.1 and the iApp updates. Now Entourage (Office 2004 v.
11.2.3) crashes whenever I try to pick a font color when
writing/replying emails. The usual fixes, repair permissions, clear
caches, fsck, reinstall Office have not worked.
A G4 tower also updated does not have this problem.
Has anyone else seen this or have a fix?
Thanks

I have the same problem on my MacBook Pro, after the security and
Quicktime updates.

I've seen that on a new MacIntle, but not on my Mac. I'm trying to
figure out what the difference between the two are (beside Rosetta...).

Now here's an interesting work around. Actually a little freaky.
Try writing a new or responding to an email and use the drop down font
color menu in the email toolbar - crash!! Hard and fast.
But - use the FORMAT/FONT COLOR drop down menu up on the main toolbar
(between Message and Tools) and every thing works.
Font color - background color - whatever.
What the?
Can't explain it but if it works until smarter minds than mine fix the
issue, I'll take it.

Interesting. That would indicate that displaying the littlepane with the
colors is the problem on these Mac. I checked the crash log and QT 7.1
is mentioned there. It could then be related to this recent update (and
eliminate the possibility it is the security update that causes this).

It has been confirmed by Microsoft that these crashes on MacIntels do relate
to the QT 7.1 update (although no specific mention has been made of the
littlepane - I think there are other instances that also bring about the
crash). They have notified Apple and hope that Apple will track down the
issue and release an update soon that fixes it. (I think we should hope that
apps other than Microsoft's also crash as a result of QT 7.1, to encourage
Apple to move on this...)

Yeah, sad but true :-\
Right now other apps seem rather stable on our MacIntel (though I hardly
ever personally use it) except for Acrobat Pro 7.0.x. The app crashes
and hangs the entire system. I wonder whether it is related. I
unfortunately can't sample the app or get any crash log when it happens
(since the system freeze is so deep).

After applying the QuickTime update (7.1) some users have reported problems
applying color to the text of an email. There is currently no workaround,
short of reinstalling the OS and not applying the 7.1 update.
