Weirdest thing..Ill be trying an email, and click the font color button to change the color, and the window that normally opens, with all the colors doesnt show up, but its open. If i try to continue I get the beep sound. so i figured out if i just hit return, it will close the "open" color window, but where is it?

Test in a new Identity to see if it's database corruption.

Under Entourage in the Menu bar, select Switch Identity.
Create a new test Identity and see if the problem exists in the new
Identity.

If yes, remove this font cache file:

~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Font Cache (11)

If no, then rebuild your database.

Make a duplicate in the Finder first as additional backup. A rebuild does
make a duplicate, but sometimes in the process the original and backup get
merged resulting in total disaster. It's rare but it happens.

How to rebuild:

Cache files are temporary receptacles for data that help OS X and its
applications work faster. They can become corrupted or simply too large to
function well. If you¹re experiencing odd issues with an application‹such as
preferences that won¹t load or menus that contain strange characters‹or if
an application or the system seems sluggish, it may be a cache-related
issue.

So....yes, you can go ahead and delete the cache files.

Testing in a new User will quickly tell you if the problem is system wide.
If the problem exists in the new User, then you will need to (1) download
and run the Apple combo updater. (2) Test. If the problem still exists, do a
(3) reinstall of Office. Still exists....do an (4) "Archive & Install" of
the OS.

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test problem.

Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update (For both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs )
<http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update>

"Archive and Install" moves existing system files to a folder named Previous
System and then installs Mac OS X again.

Just be sure to check Preserve Users and Network Settings when you select
Archive & Install.

Archive and Install

1) Insert the Mac OS X Install Disc and double-click the Install Mac OS X
icon.

2) Follow the onscreen instructions. In the pane where you select the
destination disk, select your current Mac OS X disk (in most cases, it will
be the only one available).

3) Click Options. If you want to save your existing files, users, and
network settings, select ³Archive and Install,² and then select ³Preserve
Users and Network Settings.² If you want to erase everything on your
computer and reinstall Mac OS X, select ³Erase and Install.² You can¹t
recover erased data.

4) Click Continue.

5) Click Customize to select which parts of Mac OS X you¹d like to install,
or click Install to perform a basic installation (recommended).

Once the install has finished, your system will be at whatever level the
disk you have is. So if your Install DVD/CD disk is 10.5.0, that's what
version of OS will be on your Mac. You will need to download the appropriate
Combo Updater from Apple's site to restore the system to a higher version.
After you run the combo, allow Software Update to download and install any
additional updates.

just did a restart after setting up user account. So far, no issue in the test account. I was able to see the color palette window every time i clicked for it. Tried it after quitting several times, seems to be there every time.
