Entourage freezes up at first touch after opening

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop This started a few days ago and nothing I have tried has worked. I have even reinstalled the application.

After I open Entourage the instant I try to get new messages or click on a message I get the ugly pinwheel and the only way out is to "force quit." I have tried rebuilding the data base and other recommended fixes but nothing works.

Please help me. I have spent hours building a filing system and syncing projects to emails and documents and web pages. I would hate to lose all that work.

Are you using the latest Office/Entourage version?
You're talking about syncing projects and mails, what kind of software are you using for that synchronization?

Hold the Shift key down when launching Entourage to disable all
schedules from firing.

Check in the Outbox for a corrupted email trying to send. Move it out of
the Outbox. You might be able to open the message and copy the contents
into a new message and try sending it.
