Entourage hangs on startup w/ email in Outbox

I have a user who tried to send a file with a large attachment (I'm assuming it was over the 10MB limit) through Entourage 2008. We are using Exchange 2007. The message now sits in her Outbox, causing Entourage to hang with the beach ball on startup.

I cannot remove the message from the Outbox and cannot get to Folder Properties to clear the cache. I have tried rebuilding the database but the message is still stuck in the Outbox. Any suggestions? I am trying to avoid removing and re-adding the profile if possible.

Try holding down the Shift key when starting Entourage. This disables any
schedule that might be running at startup (such as Send & Receive All) and
should give you the opportunity to delete the message from the outbox. I am
not entirely sure if this procedure will work with Exchange accounts,
though, so please post back and let me know how it went.

I have the exact problem. Unfortunately, I can not delete the file using the above procedure. The tech folks can not see the file. I have tried deleting and reinstalling office 08 three times. It's still there. Other thoughts?
