Entourage, iCal and Mobile Me

Any update as to when the categories will sync correctly with the separate calendars in iCal and then Mobile Me? I cannot use Entourage until this functionality exists. I really want to use it, but have had to use Contactizer Pro until this functionality happens.

Is there ANY update at all?! Is this even in the works? I'd really like to use Entourage as it will work seamlessly with the rest of my Office Suite, but the separate calendars are important to me to separate out event types.

This is a bit off topic but how do you find Contactizer Pro. I've
looked at it only due to the problems I've had with Entourage and I
like it in some ways - nice interface, fast, good linking but no Notes
module and it is I think very pricy. Is this worth the price? Just
curious what your thoughts are.

IMPORTING EVENTS INTO ENTOURAGE

Hi,

I've imported my contacts and email into Entourage, but I can't import events from Apple Ical into Entourage -- and I can't find any articles or support on how to do it.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Categories will not sync from Entourage to iCal as separate calendars. It will format correctly in Entourage, but in iCal the dates will show as a single "Entourage" calendar. This is the same way it looks in the iPhone through Mobile Me. This way, there is only one "calendar" in iCal and, thus, no categories that are reflected in iCal, Mobile Me or my iPhone. This is the problem overall.

Now, if I'm incorrect, PLEASE correct me so that I can get it all to format correctly! I'd LOVE to be using Entourage as I've always been an Outlook guy and Entourage, while different, works so seamlessly with the rest of Office for Mac and would help me in my project organization.

looked at it only due to the problems I've had with Entourage and I

I would NOT have purchased Contactizer Pro at the price it normally sells for. I got an AWESOME deal at www.macupdate.com. 10 programs or so for $49.99. They work with companies and mass sell packages a couple of times a year. Each package has sales tiers that must be reached for all software in the package to be sold. This one needed like 8,000 purchases and all tiers were met. So...I got $650 of software for $49.99. Just keep checking. Macworld.com tends to advertise these specials...that's how I came across it.

On the usage side...I DO like Contactizer Pro. It works well with the Mac OS and with iCal and Mobile Me. It does mostly what Entourage does. The only thing that I think I'd like better about Entourage is the seamless cooperation between all of the Office programs and the project tracking ability. It looks great asthetically, but I really like the look of Entourage even better. I'd say they're comparable. Had I not gotten that great deal, however, I'd be making Entourage work.

You can turn on SyncServices in the Entoruage preferences to do that.

Well there is no solution at this point for your problem since Entourage
will only sync to one calendar in iCal. Category or no category, group
or no group :-\

I couldn't agree more and I would suggest that you use the Send Feedback
command in the Help menu in Entourage to let MS know.

I have written in this numerous times. I just hope that this will be fixed soon. I really want to use Entourage, but cannot until I have this capability.
