Entourage Inbox (12.1.7) not showing Exchange eMails - Fine on OWA

Odd problem- Migrated Mac Entourage user data to new 2007 Server and
started using it- worked fine for a week without issues. Then come in
after last weekend and the Inbox is not showing any new eMails. Only
cached eMails. We did the suggested fixes for this:
Rebuild DB
Empty Cache
Recreate account

Now our inbox is EMPTY- No eMails shown after Clear Cache- However if
you do a Get Info on the folder you see there is a report from the
server that 15XXXkb of Data is present- Drafts folder shows latest
drafts from today, Junk Mail is working- all other folder sare no go -
No Sent, No Inbox- empty...

Broke down the users Inbox thru OWA client on a PC into 5 folders to
reduce Inbox Folder size to see if that helped caching speed- That
shows up when you launch Entourage however they are empty and say
There are no messages in this folder like the inbox, etc.

<This also happened to me (different user) a while back using Office
2008 and Exchange Server 2003- Once I reduced my inbox to 2 weeks of
eMail thru archival on Outlook mine fixed itself and started recieving
eMails properly in Entourage. I let it go until I fixed it- However
now its a VP>

Changed Fonts view preferences- nothing
Tried on another Mac- Nothing- same issue

Just Candy ribbons Now updating "inBox... "Sent Items... (etc) ~and
nothing new shows up.

All local Mail is fine!

Have you possibly enabled View --> Unread Only for these folders?

No unfortunately - tried that- and flagged and unflagged and I know
more are read/unread over 2 years-

There is mention that the Entourage 2003 Folders need to be present on
the 2007 Exchange server- What could this be??? Maybe there re
resources on the server that we don't have serving out the Data- Hence
NO SEE- ???

Can anyone explain if they have had problems with Migrating Mac
Entourage (v12.1.5) users to a Exchange 2007 server (sp1)

UPDATE- 12.1.9 update doesn't fix the problem--- :( Still in no
mail land. . .

UPDATE-  12.1.9 update doesn't fix the problem---  :(  Still in no
mail land. . .

That unfortunately did not work-
We only still can view Deleted Items, Junk eMail and Drafts (going
back to 1/6/06)
All other Folders although we get the Exchange account tree- are empty
(Inbox, 102Q2008, etc)

We did some suggestions on the Server side regarding Permissions to
the needed folders for Entourage as suggested by KLAUS1013:

I finally found the solution for this problem after raising a case
with MS PSS. The issue is SBS 2008 does not have the correct
permissions on a few Exchange folders. The 'Authenticated Users'
group needs the following security:

- Read and Execute
- List Folder Contents
- Read

On the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\Exchweb
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OWA

The format for Entourage is:

remote.contoso.com/exchange/[email protected]

Thanks for all the advice in this thread. As I guessed from the
beginning, this was an issue related directly to SBS 2008, rather than
an Exchange or Entourage problem.

Now works without a problem.

Not ours though :(

Not ours though  :(

SOLUTION-WORK AROUND: We moved our important user with the problems
back to the 2003 Exchange server and his eMail is back in view-

Now I am on the 2007 Exchange server and will test for a while- Hope
it happens again so we can further troubleshoot- This will hinder our
companies ability to migrate all users to 2007 until its resolved.

GETS TO MY INBOX- We are raising the flag with MS Support and looking
into the server setup to find a solution. DONT LET EM SAY WE DON'T
SUPPORT ENTOURAGE!!! Raise hell with MS or no macs in Exhange 2007
enviroments will happen.

DON't Be fooled if you successfully connect- The connected account
MUST be on the 07 server for 24 hours before the BREAK happens- Try it
out!!!!

I am having this exact problem with Entourage and Exchange 2003.
Entourage worked fine until 48 hours ago. Now no new email in the
inbox but public folders update fine.

Have you cleared your Inbox and/or server cache?
