Entourage Inbox

Suddenly, my inbox just shows an endless list of the items I've received. For years, the inbox has shown items separated by day for the current week, then last week, last month, etc.
What setting has changed to cause this different presentation in my inbox?

Try View>Arrange by> Received,

Thank you but NO, there was no change in the inbox display when I arranged by "Received". I normal use "sent" to sort the inbox. This is still a mystery. It still displays in the folder called "sent directly to me", but that is a little more time consuming to delete items. Any other suggestions?

On View > Arrange by, make sure that Show in Groups is also checked.

Do you still see the column headers on top of the window?? Can you
select the sent date there??

I wonder what's going on. It's a bit difficult without seeing first hand
the UI but I don't see any good reason you shouldn't be able to sort any
which way you'd want.

It's possible this is database corruption. Create a new Identity in
Entourage and see if you see the same behavior. Be sure to set to leave mail
on server if you select to download for testing. You could drag your current
inbox to the desktop and use it for the testing. In that case, select work
offline.

If it is database corruption, MAKE A COPY IN THE FINDER, before you rebuild.
A rebuild does make a duplicate, but sometimes in the process the original
and backup get merged resulting in total disaster. It's rare but it
happens.
