Entourage is shortening (truncating) our file attachment names

It seems to be that file attachments that have long names (more than 31 characters) are being truncated into something like "#10A90" at the end of the file name. Is this supposed to occur?

In Preferences, I have our Attachment encoding set to "Any computer (AppleDouble)". Should I set it to "Windows (MIME/Base64)"?

I'm not an exchange expert, but I'm going to say it's something on your
server that is causing this. I haven't seen this reported before and I'm
sure it would have come up at sometime if this behavior was seen by other
users.

I don't know that it will fix your problem, but I almost always advise
using Base64 over AppleDouble.
