Entourage is slow and get spinning wheel

I'm trying to use Entourage to access my email on an Exchange server.
After Entourage starts, I get the spinning wheel. I wait for a
couple of minutes and everytime I try to move the cursor or read an
email I get the spinning wheel ( like it's trying to do something ).
Any thoughts ?
