Entourage issues with BlackBerries

Anyone using Entourage to sync to a BB? If so are you getting DUPLICATE memo
files everytime you sync? I am and its very annoying. How can this be fixed
or can it? Entourage synced fine with PocketMac, but Missing Sync has not
been as reliable for syncing notes.

The issues around sync services and Entourage sync problems is
extensively documented in this forum since ent08's release Jan 15 08.

The BB syncs no prob with the Mac. PocketMac works differently than
Missing Sync in that it circumvents sync serv. All Missing Sync
products for whatever device use sync services and therein lies the
problem.

I would though suggest using RIM's own Desktop Manager released in
Sept 09 and it can be found on their site under Mac software
downloads. It too uses sync services and all behavioural problems with
Ent will apply unless you use the workaround. The prime advantage of
using the RIM DTM is you can now manage your BlackBerry from OSX
rahter than having to go into Windows.

Finally, you need to run Entourage sync with only one module for sync
enabled at a time. With more than one module enabled dups are a common
outcome. Further, there are tons of other bizarre behaviours that will
occur including data loss and potentially DB corruption.

Search the site for sync services and workaround. I've posted details
on this many times and around many different handhelds including the
iPhone (yes the problem exists identically regardless of device).
