Entourage keeps crashing

Help! Even though I have anti spam software, it's pretty crap, and it
looks as though a few bad emails have gotten on my Entourage. There
are four emails which you can't see properly as they have grey llines
through them. When you click on them to try and delete I get a message


"The action could not be completed. An unknown error 4362 occurred".

Entourage either then crashes and closes itself or this message keeps
popping up disenabling entourage and I have to force quit. Until I get
rid of these I can't use my email.

I've run Norton Antivirus on Entourage and it says there's no problem.
What should I do?????

Also any suggestion of new anti spam? I've currently got Spam Fire.

When you try to use Microsoft Entourage X to send or to receive e-mail
you receive this error message: Error 4362. The solution is typicall
resolved by performing a typical or advanced rebuild of the databas
file.

Sometimes this error indicates a problem Entourage is having with th
Microsoft Database Daemon. Quit the daemon

Then go to System preferences/Startup Items and remove any entries o
the database daemon from the 'login items' window. Now start u
Entourage again and hopefully the problem will have been resolved.

Note: Some users reported this error when clicking on a corrupt email
4362 is not the usual error for a corrupt message. If deleting th
message does not solve the problem, try a rebuild. If this is you
problem, then try the following:

Go to View menu/Preview Pane, or press command-\, to turn the Previe
Pane off. Now when he click on the message, you will be able to delet
it. If this is a POP account and a local folder, then go to Tools/Ru
Schedule/Empty Deleted Items Items Folder. If it is an IMAP account se
up with its own Deleted Items Folder, quit Entourage so it will ge
purged, or if set up to "mark for deletion" press command-K to connec
to the account to purge it.

Hold the Option key when you launch Entourage to perform a rebuild
Start with the Simple rebuild and see if that works

I would highly suggest backing up your current identity and try to perform a
rebuild using the Database Utility. You can manually run it from the
"Office" folder, or if you hold down Option when you launch Entourage, it
will launch the Utility. I would try a typical rebuild, and if that fails or
doesn't fix the issue, try the advanced rebuild.

Error 4362 is eFILE_MGR_ACCESSING_INVALID_BLOCK,
and indicates there is some problem with the database, generally requiring
some kind of rebuild.
