Entourage keeps shutting down

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: Exchange

I am connected to Exchange( or i am trying to get there). When Entourage starts up and it looks like it is updating my inbox, it shuts down. It only works if I use it offline. I have installed the updates and I am pretty frustrated. My mac(new) worked fine, leave it to installing a Microsoft product to mess it up.

What version Mac OS X are you running? 10.5, 10.5.1, 10.5.2????

What version Microsoft Entourage are you using? Including update if any. How
to find version info: 12.0.0, 12.0.1????

Do you have other accounts in Entourage or just the Exchange account? Have
you tested in a new Identity?

Diane, I am using 10.5.2 and 12.0.1. I have also tried to switch identities when Entourage starts up, BUT, i get the same thing. Offline works fine, but when it tries to update, it shuts down
