Here is the issue we are running into.
We are installing Mac OS 10.2.8 on new Powerbooks. We are also
installing Microsoft office and including the updates through 10.1.5..
Since we have done this, and configured Entourage to work with
Exchange 2000 on an Active Directory network, we've run into the
following problem. The users domain account will lock out
periodically. We unlock the account and they are fine for an
indeterminate amount of time. Some go for weeks without a problem
others just days. And in every case the account usually gets locked
out after initial configuration of Entourage X.
Here is a list of software that is installed on the macs
Adobe Photoshop 7.01
Adobe Illustrator 10.03
Adobe Indesign 2
Adobe Acrobat 6
Microsoft MSAUM for Jaguar
Mac Antivirus Ver. 9.0
Is there a setting in Entourage X that needs to be set that I may be
overlooking. Once we have unlocked the account, all the exchange
functionality works fine, albeit until their account locks out again.
One thing to note. During testing, I had a user setup identical to
the above with out setting up Entourage. In its place we setup MS
Outlook 2001 in MAC Classic. They worked for over a month and never
had their domain account lock out. So it all points to Entourage.
