Entourage locks up every time i try to add an attachment

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Every time I try to add an attachment, whether to a new mail or a reply entourage locks up with the spinning beach ball. The only way to quit is to force quit.

Has anyone else seen this issue? I have updated entourage to the latest updates that are available but that did not help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Pete

Are you using search to find the file? If yes, there is a known bug in Snow
Leopard adding attachments this way. Try manually dragging the file into the
email.

I have a user that upgraded to Snow Leopard and is experiencing the following: When I have a new email message open, I have already written text in the
body and I use the icon in the upper left corner - with the paperclip - it
tends to restart Entourage.

NOW - If I hit the arrow next to Attachments below the Subject line of the
email and use the "Add" button on the right, the problem does not happen.

Did you ever find a fix to allow the Paperclip function?

First report ever of this problem. Test in a new Identity to see if it
happens there.

I have the same problem
Entourage beachballs - I then have to force quite and remove the signature
and rules database. I tried repairing the database but that didn't help.
