Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC Email Client: imap I am trying to move mail from one folder (the main in box) to in box folders on other entourage mail boxes to better organize my mail.

I have opened the mail that I want to move. I have dragged it to the destination mail box. When I look for that e-mail, it is not in the original in box and it is not in the destination mail box. It seems to have disappeared.

How do I move mail from one entourage folder to another?

It¹s possible you have unread only selected and do not see the message.

You do not need to open the message you want to move. Select and use the
Move to icon. If you don¹t see the icon, add it using customize toolbar.

Oh. Wait. Let me try this unread thing. I'll get back to you when I find out where to change it. I had looked at the ordering of the mail thing (sent, received) and thought I had taken care of the unread thing.

You were right Diane. I went to view and unchecked unread only. That problem is solved. No more disappearing mail.

The move mail problem still exists. Though.
Do you have any ideas why it doesn't work?

I went to the customize toolbar and put the move to icon on the toolbar. The move to icon does not highlight. I can't select it.

According to what I read, the rule will apply only to NEW incoming mail and
not to mail previously received in the inbox. In my rule, I asked the mail to
be moved from the On My Computer Inbox to my booking account inbox. I was
hopeful that the mail would move but it did not.

You can test a rule by selecting all message in the Inbox and control click
on the messages > Select Apply Rules > All Rules. It should move the
messages.

If not, post your rule. You can post a screenshot link using a service like
ImageShack, Flickr, PhotoBucket?

Whew!
I followed another forum adviser's advice on a similar problem. I ran a diagnostic program on my computer, shut it down, rebooted, and now the move and other problems are remedied.
Thanks so much for your attention to my problem.
