Entourage meltdown Help!!!

Okay so when I first installed Office for Mac, I didn't install Excel,
PowerPoint or Messenger as I rarely use them, now today I decided to
install Excel to do some stuff, no bother all went according to plan,
but somehow I ended up with 4 items in the trash (Component Plugin,
Database Daemon, Framework and ShMem Bundle) I only discovered this
after all of my Office programs except excel stopped working
completely, and all the error message said to reinstall, so I did, but
even after doing a complete reinstall Entourage wont open using it's
icon, and if you open it via the pane you get when you open Word which
asks what kind of document you'd like to open and requesting New Mail
Message, it starts but keeps saying that Entourage is out of space,
but I have 130GB free!!!!

Any idea where these files are supposed to be, so I can put them back
where they should be (I can only guess they ended up on the desktop
after running the installer and I fired them in the trash later)

Cheers

Hi Johnny,

I guess you did not remove Office properly. Simply trashing it won't do; you
will need to drag the Remove Office application, which you can find in
Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office, to the
desktop and then run it from there. Then re-install Office and see if the
problem persists.

Additional to Michel's comments, I would imagine that the reason you ran
into the problem in the first place is that you installed the programs but
neglected to *update* them to be on a build-level par with the programs
previously installed before actually running one of the apps. For future
reference it's normally good practice to install the entire suite even if
you never use some of the included programs. You really aren't saving very
much disk space [the typical motivator for not installing all] and this is
one type of problem that can occur. If you install the complete package the
whole she-bang is kept up-to-date so that each app is ready when [if] you
need it.

Okay so I did the full uninstall/re-install but I am getting the error
message about

"This identity cannot be opened with this version of entourage"

again... any ideas what's happening here.....

Could it be something to do with having upgraded my os since the last
time i installed office....
