Entourage not displaying HTML properly while Reply

S

We have developed an application which sends HTML email to all users. Users
will have either Microsoft outlook for windows or Entourage 2008 in MAC. Our
HTML template contains <table> tags and <div> tags with Cascading Style
sheets. We also use a div text with a unique id and styles with border to
look as if it is a text box and allow users to enter values into the div tag
and when they reply, we have an application which reads the html file from
outlook and searches for the div tag and inserts the value to the db. Both
the users can able to view the email properly. But, when the Entourage users
click on Reply to enter values, they do not see any styles and could not able
to identify the div tag to input their values.

We would really appreciate if you provide us a solution as this stops us from
moving forward.

-thanks

Entourage does not support the composition (which includes replies) of
complex HTML. If this is a feature that is important to you, Send
Feedback to Microsoft.

And switch to another mail application in the meantime. :-(

Apologies for jumping on this thread but we have a signature that has a
character in it's html code to generate a o with a horizontal line above it.
The code is ō

This works fine for Outlook, and when Entourage receive a mail the symbol
looks fine however if Entourage replies to the message the character gets
changed to a big ?. Could this be the same reason or would there be a
different code for the character on the Mac?

Thanks!

On the Mac that character (?) requires sending in Unicode (UTF-8). I haven't
figured out how to force Entourage to send text (either plain or HTML) as
Unicode, even though it will display it.

Thanks for the replies, luckily it's only one member of staff that uses Mac
here so it's not a huge problem.

Bit of a shame though, as every time he replies to an email from some other
member of staff it mucks up the other person's sig.

Thanks again, hopefully they'll sort it in the next version!
