Entourage not honoring default "from" address when used as Exchangeclient

AlexT.

Hello

We have a small problem with entourage not honoring the default FROM
SMTP address as defined in Exchange.

We have a few different addresses defined for our users in the AD and
one of them is selected as the default "FROM" address. When generating
a new e-mail the FROM field will be populated with this.

It works fine with the various Outlook version with have in house as
well as with OWA. However this doesn't work with Entourage, be it
version 2004 or 2008.

Any idea most welcome !

Best regards

I've always considered this a feature. Entourage will let you send "From"
any of your valid Exchange SMTP addresses.

If you are unhappy with people using other addresses, that needs to be
addressed by policy rather than software.

Or am I misunderstanding your question?

AlexT,

In Entourage Preferences -> Reply & Forward, have you checked the box
labeled "Reply using the default account"? If not, replies will be sent from
the account that received the message.
