All,

Hoping someone can help. I have Entourage 12.1.5 running on 10.5.6 and
using a hosted Exchange 2003 server. I have set up comms via the
Exchange type (rather than via IMAP or POP3).

I've got a problem where I can't send any mails. I can receive fine,
new mails, see mail in folders that are replicated across from the
server account - but not send!!

I've tried deleting the account from Entourage, re-creating it (where
it syncs back fine) but still can't send emails. They just sit in my
local outbox and in the error log in the application I see the
following message:
An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down,
overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic.

I've also tried rebuilding my identity database (which succeeded fine)
and also created a .rge file fine.

Anyone with any ideas as to how to troubleshoot more?

Thanks - J.

This sounds like a configuration problem with your E-mail address that
you've entered into your Exchange account settings in Entourage.

Entourage will not support aliases. You must use your primary SMTP
address as it has been entered on the server.

Hope this helps!
