Entourage not syncing Gmail SENT MAIL

J

John Wolf

Whenever I send an email from Gmail these are not copied to my Entourage
SENT MAIL folder. However whenever I send an email from Entourage, Gmail can
see these. Any suggestions?

Entourage is working just fine with my hostgator.com webmail account, so
perhaps this is a Gmail bug. I don't know.

Thanks,

John

The Bible Way to Salvation is to realize that no one is good,(Rm 3:10) you
are a sinner, (Rm 3:23) God has a price on sin, (Rm 6:23) and that price is
death in Hell forever (Isa 33:14). But you can be saved by believing that
Christ died for you, (Rm 5:8) and you must call upon his name and ask for
forgiveness (Rm 10:9-13). Will you call upon him today?

--Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Please come into my heart and save
my soul from Hell. I'm trusting You, and You alone, to take me to Heaven
when I die. Thank you for saving me, Jesus. In your matchless name Amen.--

You should be looking for your Sent Mail in the folder on your Gmail
account, not in the folder On My Computer. IMAP sent items are stored on the
IMAP server.

BTW, this is not the place for proselytizing or religious messages. How
would you like it if my signature included a message promoting a
non-Christian religion -- or atheism?

Please use a different signature when sending to this newsgroup. You can
choose the signature in Tools>Accounts>Options>Default signature.
Thanks.

I am looking in the sent mail folder of my Gmail account and these emails do
show up on the gmail server, but when I send emails from Gmail they do not
show up in Entourage. Maybe I was not clear.

Thanks

I have tried to ignore you, but you do not give up. All I can say is that
you seem to be talking about religion here and not me. When have I spoken
about religion here other than this post? You are the one mentioning
religion and making a big deal about it. Why do you then blame it on me?

I will not. I have the freedom of a signature. What harm has it caused you?
Care to explain the damages the signature has caused you?

Hi John,

I am not going to start a flame war here, so let me briefly answer your
questions, and that will be the end of the discussion for me. I am talking
for myself, of course, even though I am sure other people will agree with
me.
I have tried to ignore you, but you do not give up.

You have ignored countless messages sent by a number of users who have
simply asked you to stop using a religious signature in a newsgroup that is
not dedicated to religious topics. As a result, your signature is entirely
inappropriate, regardless of what other users may think of the actual
content.
All I can say is that you seem to be talking about religion here and not me.

Let's be realistic here: your signature *in every single post you have made*
talks about religion and condemns anyone who does not share your belief.
When have I spoken about religion here other than this post?

You have done so in every single message in which you used your signature.
You are the one mentioning religion and making a big deal about it. Why do
you then blame it on me?

Nobody is blaming anyone. Nobody is condemning anyone. Except in your
signature, which you have used in every single message. You say that you are
not mentioning religion, but that is not true; your signature is part of
your messages, and people can see it, whether they want to or not.

You have now been requested a number of times, very politely, I should add,
not to use this signature in this newsgroup anymore. If you continue to
ignore this more than reasonable request, you will find that a number of
users may not be willing to answer your questions because they feel offended
by your signature.

I'll second Michel's sentiments.

I'm not offended by the content, but the signature is overly long,
especially when the actual reply has sometimes been only one line. It's
simply "inappropriate" for this newsgroup much like commercial
advertising for "male growths pills" would be inappropriate in someone's
signature here as well.

The focus of this newsgroup is on Entourage. I'd like to keep that
focus. An eight line biblical signature is not easy to miss nor ignore.
I would not find something simple like "Rm 10:9-13" by itself on one
line to be inappropriate.

Please don't consider our comments as attacks on your freedom of
religion or your religion itself, John. We're just asking that you
follow proper netiquette for newsgroups. :)

Michel under no circumstance will I compromise the gospel and give in to
liberalism. I have the freedom of religion and the freedom to have a
signature.

I do not see in any place in my signature where I am condemning anyone.

Peace

John

In that event I will consider making the signature shorter. Thanks..
