Entourage not syncing with BES

Please god someone help me!

I am relatively experienced with Entourage and BES but I have recently come across a problem. My CEO is running Entourage 2008 on his Mac and it is not completely syncing with his BB 9000. The calender and contacts work but mail syncing is an issue. When he deletes a mail in Entourage it does not delete on the BB, as with moving mails to folders in his mail, that does not sync. It does however sync perfectly when he deletes or moves anything on his BB.

A solution will make me eternally gracious.

Just to clarify I am using Entourage 2008 > Exchange 2003 > BES 4.5

Let's verify where the problem is occurring. Is it between Entourage and
the server or between the server and the Blackberry? When you move or
delete a message in Entourage, do you see this reflected when you
connect to the account via Outlook Web Access (OWA)?

One thing to try: Use the Entourage --> Switch Identity... menu to
create a new identity. Set up the Entourage account again and then allow
it time to sync with the Exchange Server. Once it is fully synchronized,
test moving and deleting messages again.

While this is really unrelated, this blog post of mine will give you
some best practices to follow when using Entourage with Exchange. Maybe
something here will help:

"Optimize Entourage to better work with Exchange"

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response William.

All changes with Entourage reflect on the Exchange server but not with the BES.

I had heard that Entourage deletes "mail ref id"(?) which BES needs to delete mails. I was hoping if someone could confirm or deny this.

Also I made a mistake, moves are replicated just not deletions.

I have heard something like this although I cannot recall exactly what
or if it has been validated. I'm not experienced enough with BES to know.

This thread on www.blackberryforums.com seems to indicate that BES is
actually programmed to use something only in Outlook rather than
Entourage not including something that BES needs. It says that Apple's
Mail application will not work either. That probably means other mail
applications (Mac and Windows) will have the same problem, not just
Entourage.

With that in mind, I do know that Entourage for Exchange Web Services
(EWS) is suppose to be more robust in its handling of Exchange messages.
Since Entourage and Outlook will both connect to Exchange over the same
protocol, you stand a good chance of this being addressed when Entourage
EWS comes out of beta. This is pure speculation on my part.

Hope this helps!
