All of my ³notes² and ³tasks² in Entourage have disappeared‹past tasks,
completed and incomplete, upcoming, tasks that repeat annually or monthly,
tasks that have been in my database for years. I tried ³viewing² the tasks
in all the various ³task views.² I ran Database Utility, and my database, it
says, is fine.
I recently began using Microsoft Entourage ³sync services² to sync my
Microsoft calendar, address book, tasks, and notes on all of my computers
through Dot Mac. This may have contributed to the problem, although the
tasks and notes showed no problems for a week, and my calendar and address
book seem not to be affected. I put some ³dummy² tasks in Entourage and
they¹re still there after a week, but I¹m afraid to put anything valid there
for fear of another disappearance.
Here are my questions:
1. Why did my tasks and notes disappear?
2. Can I get them back?
3. How do I prevent their disappearance again?
4. has anyone else experienced this problem?
