Entourage only receives when sending

Greetings!

I am using Entourage 2004 (with all updates) and only seem to be able
to receive messages when I send one; I can click send/receive all I
want, or wait for the schedule (5 minutes) but only get messages when
I have one going out... Then other times it works fine.

I am connecting to a Kerio mail server, and Entourage is set up for
IMAP. I have rebuilt the mailbox but no change.

That's a requirement for some server (part of the authentication scheme
they use).
You might have set this up by mistake though. You should check your
prefs,
