Hello all,

Firstly, this message was originally posted to
microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage but I thought that it would apply to
here as well so here it goes...

After setting up an IMAP account I keep getting an error message that say's:

----------------------------------------------------
Error
Connection to the server failed or was dropped.

Explanation
Account name: "Steve's IMAP Account"

Error: -3253
----------------------------------------------------

In my account options I have the following selected:

Server Options
[X] Send commands to server simultaneously
[X] Always download complete message bodies
[ ] In Inbox only
[X] Partially receive messages over 100 kb

Root Folder: [text box is empty]

[X] Live Sync (Stay connected with server)
[X] Only connect to Inbox
[X] Connect immediately on launch
[ ] Disconnect from server after 9 minutes
[X] Check for unread messages in subscribed folders

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve
