Entourage Problems

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: Exchange

Any suggestions or comments on the following would be appreciated:

1) Both unarchived Sent sub-folders and searches of the primary sent folder display only 'From' in e-mail list, i.e. my name as sender on every e-mail, rather than 'To', with no apparent way to change the view, whereas in Windows Office 2007 the view can be changed.

2) Cut and Paste of HTML (a critical part of my daily activity - typically distributing news articles in print format from news sites) - always shows formatting errors: e.g. first the few letters of any font change are improperly formatted. Photos often cannot be pasted: select Paste Special Photo but get Paste Special Address. HTML headers (e.g. New York Times logo) don't copy. I have started distributing PDFs instead, but it is much more time-consuming and less likely to be read.

3) Forward an HTML formatted e-mail (again important daily function) and the formatting is screwed up typically or worse, completely absent.

4) Seems no way to highlight text (as one has been able to do in Windows Office as long as I can remember, using Word as one's default text editor). Another huge hassle.

There are many other small annoyances and idiosyncrasies, but these impact my work the most. Any input or ideas would be appreciated. Even consolations!

I must say, I finally made the switch to Mac (the wonderful Air running 10.5.2) after 18 months of hell with Vista and hoped to be fully rid of MS (sorry to say this on an MS site but it is reality). Unfortunately, since we use Exchange Server there seems no way to avoid using Entourage.

Ditto other Office applications including Excel which now won't display spreadsheets with macros.

Right-click or Control-click any of the column headers to display the
columns you'd prefer to see. Or you can select View --> Columns.
2) Cut and Paste of HTML (a critical part of my daily activity -
typically distributing news articles in print format from news sites)
- always shows formatting errors: e.g. first the few letters of any
font change are improperly formatted. Photos often cannot be pasted:

Entourage does not support composing complex HTML messages. This is a
highly requested feature.
3) Forward an HTML formatted e-mail (again important daily function)
and the formatting is screwed up typically or worse, completely
absent.

Use Forward as Attachment rather than just Forward.
4) Seems no way to highlight text (as one has been able to do in

text editor). Another huge hassle.

Outlook too is not a complex HTML editor. It uses Word for that
function. Again, Entourage does not support complex HTML composition.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see these features in
future versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any
Office application.
