I recently spent the entire night trying to solve an issue with apple
for a non-profit organization and entourage posting a project to the iDisk.
The issue arose when trying to add the other members to the project, that
would be stored on an individual's iDisk. The error message that was
constantly repeated was ³You cannot add someone to a prject that will be
stored on you computer.²
The solution found after working for a few hours with a senior technician
from Apple¹s iDisk team (at 3 am) to repeat the circumstances was easily
resolved. The iDisk was set to be used as an automatic back up under the
Mobile Me preferences. This was set so the board member could stay
up-to-date on the project, while away from his mac in his home office. The
solution was to turn off the iDisk Sync create the new project and notify
the participants then turn it back on after the project was completed.
I do not know if the issue arises when the member makes any corrections or
changes to the file on his computer but will follow up at a later date when
I have more information.
Hop this helps if someone else comes across this.
