Operating System: Mac OS X 10.0 (Cheetah)
Email Client: Exchange

Hi,

I Have a problem regarding the use of the exchange public folders. We (at the office) use a public calendar. When we plan an appointment we invite the people needed for the appointment.

In Outlook this works brilliant. Entourage 2004 however can receive invitings to the appointment in his inbox, but when he accepts the invitation the local calendar is not synchronised.

This is a problem. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem is this version or does anybody know if this problem is resolved in the 2008 version?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Bart Schraven

Hi Bart!

I'll try to answer you with the information I think you're needing.

Calendars in public folders do not have accounts. Without accounts they
cannot send invitations.

I believe Outlook for Windows may be pulling some interesting
manipulations but essentially when someone "sends a message from a
public folder calendar" he is really sending from his own account.

In Entourage, the meeting organizer will need to send an invitation from
his account and will need to copy it (drag-n-drop is fine) to the public
folder calendar for it to appear there as well.

Hope this helps!
