Entourage quits when I delete messages

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop If I delete more than 3-4 emails (to clean out my in box) Entourage suddenly quits - sends a report and restarts. Any suggestions to get this annoying event to stop? It happens every time I delete several emails.

If using an Exchange account, empty the cache (right click on Exchange
account folder and Folder Properties).

Rebuild the local database ­ hold the option key when opening Entourage.

If all else fails, create a new identity by using Entourage ­ Switch
Identity.... This option leaves old local mail back in the old identity.
You can export from the old identity and import when in the new identity.
