Entourage requires an alias from an old exchange address to work...

Jensen, Casey

We're setup with Exchange 2007, Outlook 2007, and Entourage 2008. As I've
posted here before: calendar scheduling does not work, nor does out of
office assistant. We would also have an issue where certain mailboxes would
simply not populate in entourage (and load fine in Outlook). The culprit
here seemed to be a missing alias from our Exchange 2003 implementation, and
without adding (domain).wan as an smtp alias the mailboxes wouldn't populate
in Entourage.

Can anyone determine from the information I've provided why this alias would
be required and what can be done to "not need" it when creating a new
account? I'm also thinking this could intertwine with our scheduling/ooo
issues. I'm not an exchange admin, so I'm sorry for the poor details I've
probably provided. Any help or suggestions at all, is as always appreciated.

Thanks.

Be sure to ask this question in the microsoft.public.exchange.admin
newsgroup also. I would imagine someone there could answer your question.

Hope this helps!
